Cactus Species and Flowers

This is the story of my cactus garden.
It started in 1993 with a mound of soil.
I added sand and compost and went to buy a number of cacti at the Desert Theater in Watsonville, California.
Kate, the Australian lady in charge, sold me a few very nice species, and off I went.
The cacti grew faster than anticipated.
3 years later I added another garden in the front-yard, and in 1997 I added a second bed in the back.
We enjoy flowers throughout the summer and our friends love to stop buy and admire the beautiful plants.
In the night we can light up the garden with low-voltage lights, it's just magic!
